Mission:

The New York State Music Teachers Association is dedicated to furthering the art of music and promoting the professional development of its members by providing programs that support teaching, performance, composition and research.

NYSMTA Profile:

Included in our membership are the independent music teachers who build the broad base of America's musical life, the faculty members of some of the finest music schools, and some of the concert artists of today and tomorrow. As a state affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association, NYSMTA members enjoy all of the benefits of MTNA, and may also enter students in auditions and competitions held annually at state, division, and national levels.
